What exactly does clarify your understanding mean?

The truth is, among all the accumulated knowledge and expertise gained over time, there may still be gaps that prevent us from achieving our vocal goals.

There may be an issue with trying to sing outside of your comfort zone or teaching voice to others within a genre you’re not familiar with. Sometimes it’s a question of knowing why things workout great one time only to elude us the next.

Most good vocal teaching can get results one time. However getting the knowledge to reproduce these results every time is not so easy to find. If you can get the tools needed and an understanding of how to use them, you’ll always have the ability to produce for yourself or teach others exactly what is needed at the time it’s needed.

►Knowledge

What’s not needed is quick fixes or tricks to get the voice somewhere without an understanding of how it’s doing it and why. Pretending that some magical thing is happening is not helpful. Nobody needs smoke and mirrors. For lasting help the knowledge needs to be shared.

►Answers

Not one size fits all or a rough category that’s an excuse for not really knowing. As every voice is unique and while we may have many things in common, each of us needs specific help with specific answers that are relevant individually.

►Results

Gauging results can be clouded by others who claim they know what’s to be expected. However, fashioning someone else’s voice into some kind of mould is at the least unhelpful and at worst can be damaging in more ways than one. Surely the aim is and should be to get the voice YOU want!
