Katy Lees EMT-C

Katy is a classical singer, teacher and choir leader. As a singer she toured extensively in Europe, North America and the UK.

After a cancer diagnosis and treatment interrupted her career in 2006, she realised that her true vocation lay in helping others to discover their own potential and love for music and singing.

She first attended the Estill VoiceTraining Level I&II course looking for help with teaching Pop and Music Theatre repertoire with more confidence and understanding.

Katy had no idea that the course would also answer questions about her own classical singing and so she continued her studies with Voice your potential to become an Estill Master Trainer.

In true reciprocity, seeing others enjoy their singing encouraged Katy to explore singing and performing again. This led to the creation of Breathe, in 2024, a one woman show recounting all she learnt from a terminal cancer diagnosis, treatment and rebuilding her life, with the five arias that saved her from the emotions that threatened to overwhelm her. It is dedicated to anyone trying to make lemonade out of lemons.

Katy is an Estill Master Candidate (EMT-C) & is on Phase 2 of
Voice Your Potentials Certification Pathway with Mentor Charlotte Xerri.
